LIGHTWEIGHT:

Atlas uses 3D printed parts to

give it the strength-to-weight

ratio necessary for leaps and

somersaults. Atlas has one of the

world’s most compact mobile

hydraulic systems. A custom battery,

valves, and a compact hydraulic

power unit enable Atlas to deliver

high power to any of its 28 hydraulic

joints for impressive feats of mobility.

BEHAVIOR LIBRARIES:

Template motions are created using

trajectory optimization and combined

into complex routines.

REAL-TIME PERCEPTION:

Atlas uses depth sensors to

generate point clouds of the environment and detect it

surroundings.

MODEL-PREDICTIVE CONTROL:

Atlas uses models of the robot’s dynamics to predict how its

motion will evolve over time and adjust accordingly.
